Assignment No. 6 about Understanding Hypermedia

1. Hypermedia provides autonomous learning. How is this better than the traditional classroom learning, which often fails to consider the case of slow and poor individual learners?
       As what it is said, hypermedia provides autonomous or independent learning, it is better in a way that it allows student to be active learners, they are the one who make their own learning because of this, it is very meaningful to them especially if it is learning by doing as what direct purposeful experiences tell in the Cone of Experience. It is also better in a way that in traditional classroom learning, students are passive learners, absorbing all the knowledge give by the teacher, the teacher transfer all the knowledge regardless if it was absorb by the students, this is also the reason why there is a great possibility of neglecting the slow and poor learners.

2. How can the teacher help slow and poor learners using the traditional teaching method?
      In helping the slow and poor learners in the traditional teaching, the teacher can use several method, fist is the teacher can give extra time for the student who has difficulty to learn the lesson by means of remedial class which is for me is an external  responsibility of a teacher, second way is that the teacher can use different techniques or materials that slow learner's attention and thinking can easily be caught. He/she can use different media wherein students can be interested with.

3. Hypermedia provides an atmosphere of search, discovery. How can the teacher provide such an environment in the traditional classroom?
      The teacher can provide an atmosphere of search, exploration and discovery in traditional classroom by using method like exploratory, discovery and inquiry method. The teacher can simply use posing a question or problem to the student in the beginning of his/her lesson, this way will enables student to discover solutions or answers to that problem, they will surely explore their knowledge while the teacher still provides students with information.
