Programs on PC:

Microsoft Office-it is a program on a computer that help us to easily composed, encode and make a document. Because of this we can easily make our documents within a short time, we can also edit it, save it and print it when ever we need it.

PowerPoint- It is used to create slideshows, composed of text, graphics, and other objects, which can be displayed on-screen and shown by the presenter or printed out on transparencies or slides. This is very useful because it is very easy to use. Because of this we can make our presentations very attractive with different animation.

Excel is a spreadsheet program that originally competed with the dominant Lotus 1-2-3,, and eventually outsold it. It is available for the Windows and OS X platforms. This is useful for us especially for teachers who made their grades, wherein we can easily compute it.

Internet Explorer- it is used to access internet. This is used for us to enter in the online environment. This is also useful for researching.

Yahoo or Google- Yahoo or Google-Websites; E-mail, chat room, blog sites, new service educational software etc.This is also like the Internet Explorer, but in this, we can easily 
communicate with others.

Adobe Reader-adobe reader-Graph/photo composition and editing.This is used to edit photo, to crop it, we can also used it to make logos, to make graphs.

MSN- mail/chat messaging. This is a collection of internet sites and services that the Microsoft provide.

Window media player-CD, VCD, player/ editing film/ video.This is used for playing audio, video and viewing images on personal computers. It supports playback of audio, video and pictures, along with fast forward, reverse, file markers (if present) and variable playback speed. It supports full media management.

Cyber link power-DVD player. This is a digital entertainment and multimedia products software corporation. It has feature of upscaling of DVDs and standard definition video files to HD, including videos from YouTub, it can support for 3D photos and movies, including Blu-ray 3D.

game house-Video games. It is a program wherein it provides different games of different kind, there are mental games, adventure games etc.


Capabilities of PC Outside of Education:

A. Electronic Commerce

Electronic commerce commonly known as e-commerce consists of the buying and selling of products or services over electronic systems such as the Internet and other computer networks. 
The World Trade Organization defines e-commerce as, "e-commerce is the production, distribution, marketing, sales or delivery of goods and services by electronic means." Because of E-commerce, the business world became wide. There is two kinds of the E-commerce:
• Indirect e-commerce (electronic ordering of goods both intangible and tangible); and• Direct e-commerce (exchange of goods online or using electronic means)Indirect e-commerce involves ordering of goods. Delivery of such goods cannot be done online. Because of the E-commerce, we can easily buy and sell products. But in its opposite, lots of scamming occurs.

B. Finance

Because of computers in E- finance, business professionals use personal computers to create spreadsheets. They can easily calculate the account of their business, they can easily calculate their gains and losses. Because of also the computer on this, we can easily  may send out brochures or coupons to customers announcing new products or sales using computer database.

C. Entertainment



Because of the computer in our daily lives, it has been the a source of our entertainment in our homes. Most of us, use the computer for us to have fun with its different application including it's different games.It has also media player where we can watch different videos. Because of this also, we can browse the internet wherein most of us spend our time, chatting with others, watching videos on Youtube.



D. Advertising

Because of the computer together with the Internet, we can easily advertise our product. We all know that most of us are part of what we called the netizen, we all wanted that we are not left on what is popular today. That is why we always browse the internet, because of this we easily see what is popular gadget, and other stuff.



E)   Propaganda or Development of Communication
Propaganda is the technique of spreading information about an individual or group with the intention of doing damage to their reputation. Students are confronted with propaganda constantly through the Internet, television and radio. Propaganda appears in the form of information, ideas or rumors. Teaching students how to identify propaganda helps teach them how to make choices based on their own beliefs, this is one paragraph that I have read. this has been seen on the Rally about the Pork Barrel, because of the computer together with the Internet, lots of people know that there will have a rally to oppose against pork barrel. Because also of computer, we easily know the different news. It is the second source of news except from the television.




Discuss related issues about:

A. intellectual property rights (pirating) 

Because of computer, most of things can be copied easily. Common types of this are: patents, copyright, industrial design rights, trademarks, trade dress, and in some jurisdictions trade secrets.Because of the technological revolution which is brought also upon the invention of the computer, pirating today became an issue. Although there is a law for this, we cannot easily stop it.

B. pornography using internet 

Because of the Internet, one of it's disadvantage is the pornography. Because of our generation with digital literacy, we are literate of using the internet. We can easily access it, we can easily see everything in just a click, that even those we should not see. Although there is the rule that computer shop must supervise the viewing of porn videos, it is really hard to stop because of the different sites that offers viewing of porn videos. It is up to the parents to supervise their children. It is better to have a law on how we should stop it.


C.pyramiding scam using internet 


Pyramiding is a method of increasing margin by using unrealized returns from successful trades. Pyramiding works by surrendering a minimal amount of previously-owned shares in order to pay a part of the exercise price. The surrendered funds are used to purchase a larger amount of option shares.This issue was being faced by the AMAN Futures wherein most of its victims was persuade using the phrase "double-your-money". In the Internet world, wherein scamming is popular, because it is very easy to make a business that is not true, to have investors. It is up to us, we should make sure that the business we will invest with is authentic.

 D. gaming or lottery

A lottery is a form of gambling which involves the drawing of lots for a prize.The internet become their tool of doing it. Because of there is no law for controlling lottery on the internet.
